The ShantiNiketan Food Club (FC) plays a crucial role within the ShantiNiketan community. It operates under the guidance of the Board of Directors, consisting of elected residents. The FC committee, composed of interested residents, assumes responsibility for addressing food-related matters within the association and collectively finding solutions.
Annually, a survey is conducted to gather feedback from residents about their food preferences. Based on this input, the FC committee creates a 28-day menu that remains consistent throughout the year. Special attention is given to ensuring a proportional representation of major regional cuisines.
The Association manager oversees inventory management and the weekly procurement of all necessary groceries. Additionally, the manager is responsible for staff management.
Due to recent increases in grocery and labor costs, the monthly membership fee has been adjusted to $360 per person. Daily and individual meal options are available at separate prices.
All residents are required to join the Food Club by paying a non-refundable membership fee equal to two months’ charges.
